Oomūli feature guides
Troubleshooting
Find help with Chrome notices, missing notifications, sign-in, uploads and an app that will not update.
Before you try a fix
- Save your work. If you have an unsent message or form, keep a private copy somewhere only you can access before reloading or closing the app.
- Check your internet connection and the establishment name in Oomūli. Make sure you are looking at the right workplace and date range.
- Read any error message before trying again. If you are unsure whether a record saved, check the original list or conversation before submitting it again.
Do not start by clearing browser data, uninstalling Oomūli or resetting your password. Those steps can remove local drafts or sign you out without fixing the cause.
Chrome keeps showing an Oomūli notice
- Read the notice. ‘Tap to copy the URL for this app’ is a Chrome notice for the installed web app. It is not a new message, shift change or sign that someone accessed your account.
- ‘App installed’ is an installation confirmation. Try swiping that notice away. If it repeatedly returns without a new installation, report it to support.
- To inspect a recurring notice, press and hold it and open its notification settings. If your phone offers separate categories, check the category before changing it. Leave website notifications for app.oomuli.com enabled if you want Oomūli alerts.
The URL notice can recur on some Android phones. Its appearance depends on Chrome and the installation; Oomūli cannot directly dismiss it through an app setting. A universal fix has not been verified.
Avoid turning off all Chrome notifications to hide this notice. That can also stop alerts you wanted to receive. Phone settings and category names vary.
A phone notification did not arrive
- Open Activity and check whether the update appears. If it does, the update exists even though the phone alert did not arrive.
- On a phone, open More → Notification preferences. On desktop, open Tools & settings → Notification preferences.
- Under Push on this device, check the status. If available, select Turn on background push on this device and allow the browser permission. Confirm the status changes to Push is on for this device.
- Check the Push switch for the category you need, such as Messages or Your schedule. In Delivery options, check that Pause push on all my devices is off. Review any establishment-specific choices, then select Save preferences.
- Check your phone’s notification permission and Do Not Disturb settings. For a sound or vibration test, temporarily turn off Do Not Disturb. Check that the conversation is not muted.
Browser alerts while a tab is open are separate from background push. A successful installation alone does not confirm that phone alerts work.
If Oomūli says push is unavailable, record that status and your device/browser for support. Some browsers require an installed app. Do not repeatedly reinstall as a first troubleshooting step.
You cannot sign in or see your workplace
- Open https://app.oomuli.com/ for your workplace account. The public website at oomuli.com explains the product; it is not your workplace workspace.
- If you use Google, check the email address of the Google account you selected. If you were invited, use the account matching the invitation. For a password sign-in, use Forgot password? if you need a reset; a reset does not grant workplace access.
- If your invitation is expired, revoked or awaiting approval, ask your establishment administrator to check it. Do not create extra accounts to get around the problem.
- If only one feature or record is missing, ask your administrator to check your role, establishment and access. A manager’s unpublished schedule is not yet visible to employees.
If you cannot enter the app, email support@oomuli.com. Never send a password, sign-in code or invitation link to support.
A photo, video or file will not upload
- Read the error for the current feature. File types and size limits differ between features; an attachment accepted in one place may not be accepted in another.
- Check that your connection works and the file is still available on your device. When taking a photo or recording, check camera or microphone permission if the device requests it.
- Keep the app open while the upload finishes. If the connection drops, check the conversation or record before retrying so you do not submit duplicates.
- If the error remains, report the feature, file type, approximate size and exact error. Do not send the private file itself unless support asks through an appropriate channel.
In Chat, Choose photo and Choose video open your device’s picker. On supported phones, this may open the camera. That alone does not show whether an upload succeeded. Check the saved record or conversation afterward.
The app looks out of date, is blank or will not load
- Save or privately copy any unfinished work first. Check your connection, then close and reopen Oomūli.
- If the problem continues, open https://app.oomuli.com/ in your browser. Note whether the browser works while the installed app does not.
- If Oomūli offers an update, save unfinished work before accepting it. If the issue remains, contact support before clearing site data or reinstalling.
Do not assume a blank screen means your saved records were deleted. Support needs to distinguish a display or connection problem from missing records.
Get help when these checks do not solve it
- On a phone, open More → Help & feedback. On desktop, open Tools & settings → Help & feedback. If you cannot sign in, email support@oomuli.com instead.
- Describe what you were trying to do, what happened and the approximate time with your time zone. Include your phone or computer model, browser and whether you used the installed app.
- Include the exact error and steps you already tried. If you attach a screenshot, hide private conversations, employee information, financial details and any sign-in codes or links.
For access, approval or unpublished schedules, your establishment administrator may need to help. For a technical failure, contact Oomūli support. Do not include passwords or recovery keys.
