House Recipes

Find your establishment’s recipes, preparation steps and serving notes.

Find and read a recipe

  1. Open More on a phone or Tools & settings on a computer. Under Daily operations, select House Recipes. Your establishment must enable this feature and give you reading access.
  2. Use Search house recipes to find a recipe by name, then open its card. Staff read published recipes; editors can also open Manage recipes to see drafts.
  3. Use Make it for ingredients, preparation and equipment. Use Serve it for presentation, allergen notes, approved modifications and suggested pairings.

If allergen information has not been recorded, ask a manager. An empty note does not mean the recipe is safe for an allergy.

Adjust the batch you are making

  1. Open Make it and check Base recipe under Batch size. This is the amount the saved recipe makes.
  2. Enter the amount you need in Make quantity. For example, if the base makes 4 servings and you enter 8, the ingredient quantities double.
  3. Read the updated ingredients and follow the preparation steps. The steps and units stay as written; changing the batch size does not edit the saved recipe.

Write or update a recipe

  1. With recipe editing access, select New recipe. To change an existing one, open Manage recipes, choose the recipe and select Edit draft.
  2. Enter Recipe name, Category and a short description. Under Base recipe yield, set Yield quantity and Yield unit, such as 6 servings.
  3. Add ingredient names, quantities and units, then the preparation steps. Use Add ingredient and Add step as needed. Add equipment and serving notes your team should use.
  4. Select Save draft. Editors can review the saved changes. Staff keep seeing the last published version until you publish again.

Publish, archive or restore a recipe

  1. Open the draft from Manage recipes. Check the ingredients, quantities, preparation and service notes, then select Review & publish.
  2. Select Publish for everyone when the recipe is ready. This version replaces the recipe staff can read.
  3. To stop using a recipe, open it in Manage recipes, select Archive and confirm. It leaves the staff library, but its draft and published history are kept.
  4. To bring it back, open Archived, choose the recipe and select Restore. It returns as a draft; review and publish it before staff use it again. Use Version history to read available earlier published versions.

Download, print or save a PDF

  1. Open one recipe to export that recipe, or choose a library view and search to export matching recipes. Reports use base recipe quantities, even if you changed Make quantity on screen. Check whether you are exporting published recipes or drafts.
  2. Select Export / Print. Read Scope to check what is included, then review the record count and preview.
  3. Select Export CSV to download a file you can open in a spreadsheet app.
  4. Or select Print / Save as PDF. Choose a printer or Save as PDF in your browser’s print window, if your device offers it, and finish printing or saving.

The preview shows up to 50 records. Follow the stated scope for the full download or printout. Attachments are listed by name; download the files separately. Saved copies do not update when records change in Oomūli.

If you cannot find or update a recipe

  1. Clear the name search and select Refresh. Ask an editor whether the recipe is still a draft or has been archived.
  2. If editing controls are missing, ask your administrator to check your permissions. If someone changed the recipe while you were editing, keep your intended text and review the latest saved copy before saving again.
