Draft for review
Terms and Conditions
Proposed terms for using Oomūli™, a workplace communication and coordination service. Read these together with the Privacy Policy and any agreement between your establishment and the service operator.
Legal and privacy contact: support@oomuli.com
1. The service and these terms
Oomūli™ provides establishment workspaces for chat, scheduling, availability, time-off requests, incident records, stock lists, and support. Features depend on your establishment, permissions, and configuration. The legal entity operating the service and the effective date must be identified before these terms take effect. The service is based in Washington, United States.
An establishment's signed service agreement may contain additional commercial and data-processing terms. Your employer's workplace rules also apply, subject to applicable law. These terms do not create an employment relationship with Oomūli or change your employment rights.
2. Eligibility and account security
Use the service only when you are legally permitted to do so and authorized to join the relevant establishment. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to do so. Oomūli is not intended for children under 13; eligibility for younger workers above that age must be reviewed for the jurisdictions served.
Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials and links, and tell your establishment administrator promptly about suspected misuse. Do not share accounts or impersonate someone else. Your account identity may be used across establishments, while each employer manages its own roster names, membership, and permissions.
3. Establishment responsibilities
Establishments are responsible for authorized invitations, role assignments, lawful workplace data collection, notices to staff, and decisions about schedules, time off, wages, and incident handling. Administrators must review who can access each feature and remove access when appropriate. Access to a feature does not authorize every possible use of its data.
Schedules, labor estimates, incident reports, and AI answers require human review. Oomūli does not replace official payroll, emergency services, mandatory reporting, or professional advice. Contact the appropriate authority directly in an emergency.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Oomūli for unlawful activity, harassment, discrimination, threats, exploitation, impersonation, or infringement of another person's rights. Do not upload malware, bypass permissions, probe accounts without authorization, scrape information you may not access, or interfere with the service.
Only submit information you are authorized to share. Avoid passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, and unnecessary medical or other sensitive information in messages, support questions, or uploads. Incident and time-off records may contain sensitive information; use the authorized workflow and limit details to what is necessary.
5. Your content and visibility
You or the relevant rights holder retain ownership of submitted content. You grant the service operator permission to host, store, transmit, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and lawfully administer the service, including through providers described in the Privacy Policy.
Content is visible to people authorized for its conversation or workflow. Private channels and direct messages use access controls; they are not a promise of end-to-end encryption. Recipients may copy or export information they can access. Profile photo URLs are public, so use a photo you are comfortable making accessible to anyone with the link.
6. AI and translation
Where enabled, Oomi support and content translation use the configured AI provider (DeepSeek or OpenAI). Review the feature notice before submitting content. Provider processing is described in the Privacy Policy. Do not include sensitive information that is unnecessary for the task.
AI replies and translations can be inaccurate. Check the original record and review proposed actions before confirming them. You remain responsible for what you send and for decisions made using these features. A support answer does not establish that a change was saved or that a notification was delivered.
7. Notifications and external services
Email, browser notifications, and device push depend on your preferences, device permissions, service availability, and establishment settings. Delivery can be delayed or fail; check the app for current records. Optional notification email can be paused in preferences or through its unsubscribe link. Account security and invitation messages are separate.
Sign-in providers, links to other websites, and device services may have their own terms and privacy notices. Review those notices when using them.
8. Fees and service changes
Any fees, billing periods, renewals, cancellations, or refunds must be set out in a separate agreement or clearly disclosed order accepted by the establishment. These drafts do not enroll you in a paid plan.
Features may change, be limited, or be interrupted for maintenance or security. Any contractual availability, notice, or support commitments in an establishment agreement continue to apply. Do not rely on Oomūli as the sole copy of a record you must preserve.
9. Suspension and leaving the service
An establishment may remove your membership or change your permissions. The operator may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal obligations, or a material breach of applicable terms. Notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue should be provided when practical and legally permitted.
Leaving an establishment or signing out does not automatically erase shared workplace records. Contact your administrator about workplace records and use the contact process in the Privacy Policy for account or privacy requests. Retention and deletion remain subject to applicable law and the establishment's agreement.
10. Oomūli intellectual property
The operator and its licensors retain rights in the service software, design, and branding, subject to applicable open-source licenses. You may use the service within your authorized access. These terms do not grant ownership of the Oomūli™ name or marks, or permission to suggest endorsement.
11. Warranties and responsibility
To the extent permitted by law and subject to an establishment's signed agreement, the service is provided as available without a promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. No provision excludes mandatory warranties, privacy rights, employment protections, or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
A commercial limitation of liability, any monetary cap, and allocation of responsibility must be reviewed and agreed before publication. This draft does not impose an unapproved liability cap, indemnity, mandatory arbitration, or class-action waiver.
12. Changes, disputes, and contact
The operator should publish a version and effective date for approved terms and give appropriate notice of material changes. Any acceptance required by law or an agreement must be obtained through an approved process before the change applies. A privacy notice does not by itself authorize new uses of previously collected information.
